SHABBIR MAHESKAR CHARITABLE TRUST (SMC Trust) is a small national charity founded in 2009,which works to support and promote democratic education. Registered under charity commission of India.

We support education which honors the UN convention of the rights of the child; equality within relationships are key to a learning environment.

We use our resources to provide the research, training and information needed to reach out with the campaign for democratic education – because the education children receive affects everybody’s lives.
